Humpback Bridge #490. Designed by Stephanie Seabrook Hedgepath. Virginia’s oldest covered bridge, Humpback Bridge, located near Covington, VA, was
built in 1857. The center of the floor and roof is about four feet higher than the ends, giving the bridge both its appearance and its name. It is the only bridge of its design in the United States. Ask for it in your favorite Needlework store.

We designed this classic pattern after returning from a week-end of camping in the piney woods of Texas - and yes - the stars at night are big and bright. Spring patterns we recommend you look at "LILY GRACE", "GIRLS IN HATS", AND "THE AZALEA TRAIL". These three patterns are stitched with soft muted colors and pastels - perfect for spring.
